Our Purpose
IFATCA-AFM stands for the Africa and Middle East region of the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers' Associations. The 37th IFATCA-AFM Regional Meeting 2026 - Amman is where air traffic management professionals from 30+ nations converge to exchange expertise, forge strategic alliances, and collectively advance the safety and efficiency of regional aviation. Hosted by the Jordan Air Traffic Controllers' Association (JATCA), this landmark gathering shapes the future of ATM across two continents.

Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) is served by Royal Jordanian, Emirates, Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways and 40+ other carriers. Amman Civil Airport (ADJ) in Marka handles regional flights and lies closer to downtown. Taxis and the Airport Express bus connect to central Amman in 45–60 minutes.
Citizens of 70+ countries receive a visa on arrival at AMM. Others may apply online via the Jordan e-Visa portal. Delegates requiring a formal visa support letter should contact JATCA organisers.
October in Amman is ideal — warm days (22–26°C) and cool evenings (12–15°C). Expect dry, sunny conditions perfect for exploring the city between sessions.
Jordan uses the Jordanian Dinar (JOD). Credit cards are widely accepted at hotels and restaurants. ATMs are readily available throughout Amman.
